Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
We are so excited to tell you that the 4th grade team will be taking a trip on February 4, 2011 to the Booth Western Museum in Cartersville, Georgia and New Echota State Park in Calhoun, Georgia. These trips will be extensions of our module study of westward expansion, as we will be participating in the "Westward Ho!" program at the Booth, and then will see actual Cherokee artifacts and buildings at New Echota.
Trip Details:
- Cost: $33 per student (includes bus, both museums, and lunch)
- Time: 7:30-4:35 (must have a ride to school and be picked up after we return)
- Transportation: charter bus by All Aboard Travel
- Scheduled Stops: Booth Western Museum in the morning, New Echota State Park after lunch
- Lunch: Cici's Pizza in Cartersville
- Parents: Parents are welcome! We have seats for the first parents who turn in their money. The fee is $33 for each parent if riding the bus. If you would like to follow in a car, the fee is $25. We hope you can come!
Please send in the attached permission slip and money as soon as possible. We also welcome any contributions you would like to make to help cover the cost of the trip for students whose families are unable to pay. We will make sure all extra money is applied to the cost of the trip.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Mark your calendars for February 4, 2011 and return your money and permission slips as soon as possible. We are going to have a great time!
Fourth Grade Team
